I believe everyone is capable of learning. On the very first day of school teachers enter classrooms of students about whom they may know very little. It is important to remember each student’s education is a unique learning experience. As a teacher, successfully adapting to each student's differences and learning style can be very challenging, but also so rewarding and worthwhile.

I believe students should be the active “doers” in the learning process. As teachers, we need to provide learning opportunities in ways that actively involve our students. Fostering active learning allows for growth, not only in student learning, but also in personal development.
